Description

I located this herd of Pronghorn Antelope just south of the Las Cienegas National Conservation Area along the eastern side of the Old Elgin Road near Sonoita, Arizona. The herd was grazing just off the road in the late afternoon. For the most part the herd paid little attention to me even as I walked closer. This particular buck did keep a close watch on my activities while the others grazed. His ability to stand completely motionless for more than 10 minutes allowed me to get a number of photos.
