Description
Another productive day for photography in the Chiricahua National Monument. This mule deer buck is approximately one year old. He has very small 4-point antlers that spread within the framework of the ears and his body mass features are similar to doe found in the area, for more information on how to determine a deer's age visit www.mossyoak.com. This buck was photographed standing at the edge of Rhyolite Road in the Chiricahua National Monument. This is the first time I've encountered a buck that was not afraid to let me approach to within 30 feet and continue to take photographs for more than five minutes. He showed little interest in my presence until three doe passed by.
